[A story and message for my EX RECRUITS.....]

i was busy chatting away on msn with my net and close friends. talking about this and that. suddenly my phone rang.....

unfamiliar number. hmm

i picked up and to my surprise it was my ex recruit. haha. i was happy to hear them. its like my offsprings are finally growing up somewhere better. but it wasnt the kind of phone call that i was suppose to get.

it turn out to be a call for a emotional talk. i dont want to mention names here but he was one of the recruit that i look up to for fighting spirit. he broke down over the phone saying Guards training is too tough for him to take. geez, i couldnt agree more to him. Coming from a warrant obese company he would have suffered the shock that i once had when i went SISPEC.

He basically asking for help if he could change vocation. Sadly i couldnt do anything about it because he's in a different unit. all i could do was to give him advice and morale encouragement for him to pull through training. i tell you people, Guards training isnt easy ok. Thats why they have thier own beret and own guards tab.

Ex-recruits reading this listen, whatever vocation you have right now, may it be driver, storeman or guards/rifleman, just bare thru it. esp those in the combat fighting active units like 1st and 3 Guards and 1st to 6th SIR.

dont care about those skinny people like me. They have thier own standard to set. Set your own standard, a high but acheivable standard that you must reach. once you are there set another standard. look on positive side of the shit part you are going thru. for example, long distance run. Just take it as a overal aerobic exercise that you did in BMTC, just that its further so that you be more fitter than ever.
ok? all those units are SLIMMING CENTRES for you guys.

REMEMBER, TRAIN HARD, PLAY HARD. Balance these 2 and i'm sure you wont be stress out aite people.

those people not going thru siong training as the rest, responsibility will soon rest on your shoulders. drivers have to transport equipments and men around singapore. signallers have to make sure the correct message is sent to the other part. storeman, MAKE SURE ALL STORES ARE ACCOUNTED FOR. Regimental Police ensure the secruity of the camp. So, do your work properly. same thing. when is time to play you play. when is work, we work.

and to all of u, watch your weight!

love reading it?
